The AFA welcome suggestions for various project ideas, developed by our membership to the benefit of the organisation and the community. Projects may range from General Interest, through to High School assignments and on to proposed University research.
As the AFA grows in membership they are often approached by outside individuals and organisations with varying research focus from sociology through to physiological science.
Any projects which are proposing to contact the AFA membership for ‘any purpose’ are firstly reviewed by the AFA elected committee. A project plan must be submitted for consideration by the AFA committee before any project is supported or endorsed by the AFA organisation.
This is to ensure AFA agree with the project relevance; that the project respects the rights of the individuals and AFA membership as a whole and that the project follow human ethics guidelines (National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research).
